I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to my first road trip in this car. Ride is good and the powertrain is quite strong, but lacks refinement. It seems to be happening more and more frequently. The expensive solution is to buy and install a new battery tray and new bolt. Found bad bearing in unit.
I have routinely checked my car for recalls. Look at the picture carefully. Which would mostly come into play if you roll the vehicle. The cheap and quick solution is to use a large diameter sheetmetal bolt. The second one is pin-hole rust spot. Thanks Perhaps this will help.
Haven't had trouble with blind spot - I am fairly tall; maybe it depends on your height. . As the battery ages, it loses its ability to hold a full charge. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be inspected. The car just feels safe and sturdy, and will hold five adults with no problem--the back seat is actually a little higher than the front, which makes the rear seat passengers feel more like part of the party. In my case the end of the bolt is broken off and the clip nut is totally gone. Other than that, it is a great car--especially as well-equipped as this one is.
I feel safe in it, which is one the things that sold me on it. I usually have to turn it down. There is a hole in the battery tray but no captive nut or anything else for the bolt to thread into. Lots of cup holders, too! Dealer said everything was fine. The stored energy can also be used when the car isn't running to power electrical accessories.
I love the Vista Roof. After driving a while, it resets. I transferred my music files to flash drive and leave my iPod at home most days. I get 21-22 weekly and 23-24+ on road trips. All the buttons are on the steering wheel, and it was easy to learn the voice commands. The recall began on October 6, 2015. The clip nut is not sold individually.

So we are now stuck with a car that will shut down and lose all power which is not safe to drive do to the fact that if we drove it at night and stalls out we lose all power and with no power the other cars may run into us and cause an accident which we are unable to prevent. Ford's number for this recall is 14S22. The vista roof is great--fully open, it makes the Edge about as close to a convertible as you can get in a crossover vehicle. Maybe a picture or parts diagram? Very comfortable and great value - esp compared to much more expensive crossovers some friends have.
Bearing will also pay shop labor for the remedy. I wish back seat was power adjustable but minor issue. In some Edges, you may need to re-enter a security code to get your radio to work again. A failure in even a small impact not necessarily a crash is dangerous. Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge.
It will even charge it or my laptop going down the road. I love it more than my husband. The affected wheel spindles have wheel mounting studs with an oversized shoulder that can prevent the wheel from being installed correctly. Would like to never be without that again. It also looks beautiful in my driveway. Replacing the battery in your Edge involves removing the terminals.
