Now very old, he lives as a recluse with only his dog, Ace, for company. The gang leader, Bullwhip, escapes but comes back to Corso for help unaware the doctor knows about him and April. Batman and Robin soon locate Tut's hideout, thanks to a hidden tracking device. He also learns that his father was murdered in his absence and finds a disc containing data that suggests the true motive for the crime and the culprit, Derek Powers. However, it turns out that the Duo have been expected. But with the only known deposit lying directly beneath Wayne Manor, Tut's tunneling soon leads him to the discovery of a lifetime - the Batcave itself.

His concoction requires the glands of several animals, so he kidnaps Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson to make the extractions. But to get actual proof, Batman plans to visit the villain as Bruce Wayne and trick him into disclosing his operation. I mean I wish they would have done something with Max. Batman and Robin follow a clue to the villain's lair only to be captured by Louie and fed to his giant man-eating lilacs.
The climax to Terry's becoming Batman occurs when his dad is murdered by the Jokerz. Though the Green Hornet and Kato will be attending to try to expose Colonel Gumm, Batman and Robin believe they are out for personal profit. However, his efforts to expose the villainess are futile, and she prepares to terminate him and Robin in front of the whole crowd. With Batman in jail, she goes ahead with her plan for a mass sit-in at Chimes Square. As a result all that was made was three episodes, there are no unaired episodes.

But when it becomes clear that the Riddler has no plans to play fair, it's up to Batgirl to help her crime fighting companions. But when the jury seems less than interested in justice, courtroom mayhem ensues. They follow the clues of an ancient riddle to retrieve a nightshirt and an antique crib, which together form a map to a hidden cache of gunpowder which they plan to use for their next crime. The Batcave, which stores the new high-tech Batsuit, as well as those of Batgirl and Robin, has been shut down. While it might have been interesting to see Batman Beyond get a fourth season, depending on how they would have handled developing the characters and possibly making a couple of better villains, or improving the ones they had, I think both Return of the Joker and Epilogue work fine with giving the series a good sense of conclusion. I could skip ten episodes of season one and shuffle them and I wouldn't be any worse for wear than someone who watched them in chronological order.
