Usually the code will be based on your vehicle registration or Chassis number which can mean you are not getting the code for the current unit fitted to the car, especially if the radio has been replaced at any stage in its lifetime. Thanks for the information, however if anyone has any other advice prior to me nipping down to Volvo I'd appreciate it.
At the price I paid for this unit I am willing to pay a little extra to have Volvo sort it out, however if a cheaper or homebrew solution exists then I'd be willing to give it a bash too. After reading this site, it mentions, if you have a refurbished radio, the code will be different even from what is in database. Kindly let me know the place to find it. When i put the radio in my car off was displayed i tryed pulling 7 fuse but no change still shoed off. It comes out by pressing in the two sensory panels on sides of radio component.
